Stuart lectures at the University of Nottingham Business School

September 22 2008

Earlier this month Stuart gave a lecture to the Executive MBA programme at Nottingham University Business School on Front-Line Strategy: 10 Practical Lessons in Developing Winning Strategies.

Drawing on Stuart’s experience as a consultant and corporate strategist, the lessons included the following insights:

  • Disruption is mandatory – be bold
  • Nothing fails like success
  • Great strategy is as much about serendipity as it is about analysis

Programme Director, Professor John Richards commented, “Stuart showed a deep understanding of the strategic management process. He also showed that concepts are not enough: insight, creativity and sound relationships are needed to help managers develop and deliver a workable and winning strategy. I would happily recommend Stuart to other business schools or groups of managers looking for practical and insightful ways to improve their approach to strategy management.”
